The aim of this study, particularly in its broader version that ultimately was not possible, was to contribute to the awareness of English workers on the reality of our world. This aim, though paercilamnete, we are convinced that is achieved with the research conducted and presented here.
The lack of comprehensive study was planned because of the difficulties that the researchers at the University of Beiging found in the official Chinese trade unions, the ACFTU, as explained in the foreword. In addition to this we have provided some data and comments for a better understanding of the work of Chinese academics.
while I think, beyond the considerations expressed in the preface, is of particular interest to read the development undertaken directly by Chinese researchers.
