As promised, I show how I was busy last week. This is work that long ago that I had in mind to do, but either did not have time or I had not dared her. The birthday of my father gave me an excuse. I explain: My father is very fond of since childhood, the "comic" Mortadelo and Philemon, and I also like from simpre (what Shall I tell you ... make me laugh!).

After the implementation of all parts (screwing up the web, of course, is what I like best), I started with the details. Mouliné black wire, I outlined all about stem contours, facial expressions, etc.. and you board the eyes, eyebrows, mouth, tie and glasses.

And the end result, after the frames and sew the batting was .... "Xaxi!" Well, I liked a lot. And the recipient as well: you have it hanging in his study.

I say I am very proud of this quilt, because even though I brought loooong work, the end result was worth it to me. Think about that when I started, I was convinced that I would come two puppets that appear in no to Mortadelo and Philemon, but in the end I think so they look like, no?

MY BIRTHDAY GIFT Tilda

First of all I apologize for my absence these days and my lack of contact, I promise to reply to everyone during the weekend. I've been a bit liadilla with some new projects, one is the one I show here. For the other two you will have to wait some days (I have to find a hollow for hanging pictures).

Today I show you something that I just love it. This is a typical case for the tissue box-shaped house. I got the idea from one of my Japanese books (you have to see what delights they do!). already quilts I showed my first application (those in the house), today I'd like to show something more of my work application. This technique I really like it and use it a lot, although I prefer the traditional application (narrowing the fabric) to scallop.

Para el cogador, no quería usar nada muy ostentoso que pudiera desmerecer el quilt (es que a mi me gusta mucho), así que utilicé una simple barra de madera que compré en la Creativa sobre la que enrollé una cinta verde con hojitas, quedó bastante country al final.

Today it rained all day, and I mean toooooodo day! We have stayed at home and I could take to finish a couple of things that were pending. The first was my wrist Tilda. Yes, yes, I could end this tomorrow. I like Finnanger Tone designs because they are very simple to perform and the result is spectacular, well, at least to my taste (me love everything about this woman.)

I've taken it in stride, I've gone step by step and have taken particular care with details such as the characterization of face (this is what I find most difficult). And although I used fabrics that were perhaps not the most appropriate, the doll has finished running pretty good, no?

Last year, I spent a few months taking classes in a school patch. Then I had to leave for incompatibilities with my new work schedule. So for more than a year that I am a happy self.

Another thing that I like to collect, are the books of Japanese patch: just love. I am always thinking ojeándolos and in further work to do. I told you I love starting things, right? Until a few weeks, I sewed (like crazy) with this relic inherited from the grandmother of my partner. The Alfa and I had become very good friends and we had a really good time together, but the poor were elderly and wanted to go and live in a residence for older machines. Before leaving bridge this May, I could not resist taking the mythical round tote bag designed to Tone Finnanger in his book "Tilda Hus." I found a web of new library Benartex (City girl) in the shop of my friend Rose (L'art de cosir) and it seemed ideal for the type of bag I wanted, so ... to carry it. The result is that more ... seventies!

Here you can see a detail of the flower, which is made of the same fabric I used for the lining of the bag.

On the back of the flower is a pin sewed site before you can change whenever you want. Well, I think that despite having the instructions in Norwegian, could have gone worse, right?
